CBD & Hair Growth

Will CBD make your hair grow back?

In short, yes it could. When it comes to hair growth, it's quite a tricky subject because of the reason you are losing your hair in the first place. The most common reason for hair-loss is hereditary and outside of a wig/hair transplant you may not be getting your lovely locks back. If the hair-loss isn't hereditary, fear not, a serum may be exactly what you need.

When it comes to the Science behind CBD and Hair Loss, there sadly hasn't been much in the way of clinical studies, solely because CBD is still so new to the market - thought there have been a plethora of social media posts featuring before & after images for you to gander through. Hair experts/scientists have been looking closely at CBD for hair and based on CBD's nutrient profile they conclude that it looks very promising.

The first thing that CBD could potentially do is enhance the growth of your hair. CBD contains all the right nutrients to do this through the scalps absorption of the main fatty acids which are, Omega-3, Omega-6 & Omega-0. CBD also contains Gamma Linoleic Acid (GLA) which also promotes natural hair growth.

The next thing that CBD has been known to help with is strengthening and protecting your hair. Our hair is made of protein and CBD oil contains all 21 amino acids which are essentially the building blocks of protein. When you use CBD oil in your hair regularly, it can help strengthen and fortify your hair. Also, those fatty acids mentioned above provide moisture and can seal the cuticle. CBD is also rich in antioxidants like Vitamins A, C, & E so it can help protect your hair from environmental damage.

Lastly, CBD could improve the healthiness of your scalp. It contains large doses of calcium, phosphorus, magnesium, vitamin E, and potassium which are all great for the scalp. CBD is also an anti-inflammatory which for common scalp conditions like, psoriasis or folliculitis it can be a god-send.

At the end of the day, CBD will work for some and not for others when it comes to your hair growth - it's certainly worth giving it a shot if it is something you are insecure about. What do you have to lose? Besides your hair that is already almost lost anyway. :-)
